Saw an amazing documentary on the BBC about the NHS last night.
Apparently we have a legal duty to give health visitors free medical care (but no-one else in the world does!). We can try to get some of it back by charging but nearly all of the NHS doesn't have a system to do so!).
Also if a Brit retires somewhere in the EU, they get medical treatment locally and that country sends us the bill. ...

The same applies to non-Brits here, but the NHS doesn't have a system to identify these people so we hardly ever send their country the bill!! Oh and if we do send the Irish a bill for one of their people, it's about half what they charge us for one of ours!
I could go on, the list of administrative system failures is endless.
What a useless way of running an organisation!
It's no wonder the NHS is bust despite absorbing a vast part of the Government's annual budget!
