It seems that politicians are unable to distinguish between tax avoidance (which is simply playing within the rules) and tax evasion (which is illegal). I fail to see how having an ISA (the only attraction of which is to save tax) is NOT tax avoidance, but buying a house through a company (the only attaction of which is to save tax) IS tax avoidance. The distinction between the two is entirely lost on me.
